The young guns of team Jawbreaker fishing

It really doesn't happen often that Jawbreaker fishing charters gets stood up for an offshore adventure, but, like my good friend Mike Irwin says..."you'll have that." So we decided to make some lemonade outta those lemons that the 'other guys' gave us...and it was cool and refreshing!

After hearing that we weren't taking a normal charter I called up the boys and figured I would take an abnormal charter instead...enter the 'young guns', my nephews Kevin Barry Jr, Max and Jake Gauthier and young Will-my right hand man. We loaded up and headed for the 'ditch' where we have been having one heck of a King fish run on the Jawbreaker. My only hope was that the bite would be good today, Captain Uncle Dan wanted to make a good impression on the young guns...again.

After a difficult bait catching session, and only 3 Threadfins and a Blue Runner coming up on the Sabiki-it was time to get some lines in the water, and about 5 minutes later...blammm!!!!the team was chasing our first King of the day, 15 minutes after that-Will put the gaff to the beast and the celebrations began. Check out the boys with an impressive first fish of the day(left to right) Kevin, Jake, Will and Max...you guys rock!

The bite, though not as strong as it had been, was steady enough to boat a few nice Kings and bag a few more good memories with the Young Guns, 'other guys'...sucks to be you, everyone else-Happy fishing, Capt.Dan
