This is the future of fishing guides, from the great white north to Tampa Bay! Meet future Captain...Tate Islas. All the way from upstate New York(my birthplace), this kid really knows his stuff.
Jennifer Islas did what every good mom should do, take her kids fishing...oh, and her parents too! With the little ones Tate, Tiara and Matteo we set off for a little mackerel fishing just off St.Pete Beach, and it was good. Gulls, Terns and Pelicans were in a fish finding frenzy and practically paved the way for us to fishing success. Of course, with Tate on board it was like having two first-mates, and the deck was handled perfectly as both children and adults enjoyed double and even triple hook-ups. Check out young Capt. Tate Islas with the biggest fish of the day, I think his brother is proud of him too!
We did spend a little time anchored off the beach hoping to catch the toothy beast, but after several hits and misses it was like a switch turned everything off. Fishing! Get used to that one Tate...as a fishing guide we have a saying...”from hero to zero” in less than an hour. But also remember, perseverance pays off, don't ever give up and don't ever let them see you sweat!
With another charter under our belt and celebrating 10 years in the industry, Jawbreaker fishing charters is constantly learning and always grateful. Families like the Islas are the reason for our pursuit. Thank you and happy fishing folks, Capt.Dan
