Tampa Bay fishing getting even better

I know it seems like all we report lately is Grouper, Grouper, Grouper...but that's a good thing right? And besides, the Grouper fishing just continues to get better and better. Just ask Matt Bisset and his crew about the grouper bite...I think he will agree with me, huh Matt?

A recent 6-hour fishing trip put us in the 60 foot range and the Groupers were there, still. Both Gag and Red Grouper made a strong showing for our anglers, and both live and dead bait seemed to work as well as the other. Check out our crew with a success story(from left to right)Matt, Louie, Laurel and Tom...way to go team! These guys experienced many big fish break-offs but managed to put some decent fish in the slurry for a classic Florida Grouper dinner. Yum!

We just had our first cool front of the season and that means the Kings are on their way. Spanish mackerel are starting to show up in good numbers and it is only a matter of time before their bigger cousins move in. Make plans now, call Jawbreaker fishing charters and get in the book. Happy fishing,
