Summer is here deep sea fishing is hot

Hot damn...fishing offshore Tampa Bay has been on fire lately, and the mercury level has been playing right along in sync. Offshore and near shore wrecks and reefs have been holding big numbers of Spanish mackerel, Bonitos, Barracudas and more Sharks than you would want to know about...especially of you were a beach going sunbather wading the shallow shoreline of St.Pete Beach. Anyway, fishing is really good right now!

Yes, summertime is in full effect and the sweat on my brow is just one indicator. Terry McCorkle and family, Chris, Sara, Crystal, Will and Dylan were just fine with the summer heat, it was the heat coming from their fishing reels that made their trip to sunny Florida a reel treat! Down from Georgia, these fine folks had the fish gods looking after them on this trip. Big Spanish macks and reel blazing Bonitos got 'em started, but the strong Barracuda bite stole the show. Check out Sara McCorkle with one of several big Cudas that made it over the rail of the Jawbreaker. Sweet job Sara...isn't she a real southern bell?
