Well, what can we say about grouper fishing off St.Pete beach, Florida? How about...excellent! Today's trip was not a whole lot different than the last couple of months of fishing in the Tampa Bay area. Our new friend, John Walter, and his family got a chance to see the Gulf of Mexico at it's finest. Check him out with a nice Gag grouper, one of many. Fishing seemed on and off today, with the full moon tides and dirty water what can you expect. Either way, changes they are a coming!
Start looking for the Kingfish and Spanish mackerel to start showing up in force. Although the season may be shortened because of inclimate weather that we have been having, the fish are on their way. Last week we caught some nice spanish macks and today we caught a few dinks. In the next week or so, tournament kingfish anglers should have plenty to choose from. Dust off that gear and get ready...or, call Jawbreaker Fishing Charters for your best shot at the King! Happy fishing to ya, Capt. Dan
