Smoking hot fishing from Johns Pass

Fishing charters out of John's Pass take me back to when I first started fishing as a kid. John's Pass was the port that we always used for our offshore adventures as it is centrally located between Pass-a-grille and Clearwater Pass. This was always convenient for hitting those rocky ledges due west, in about 30 feet of water. Especially on a blustery day like we had this past Monday.
The past few fishing charters were not producing really well in the shallow stuff, but due to the weather, our options were limited. We headed out of the Pass with the wind blowing from the South at a stiff 15 knots... with higher gusts. My charter was all locals, except Adam, and these guys handled it like seasoned vets. I was wrong in figuring somebody would get seasick. Instead, we were on fire with the Gag and Red grouper bite. It was game on as soon as we got anchored on the first spot. Check out Adam with one of many 'keeper-size' Gags that were released on this 4-hour fishing charter.
