Shark Fishing Off St Petersburg Beach

Talk about hot fishing! So far this month we have caught Sharks, Barracuda, Spanish mackerel, Tripletail, Cobia, Bonita and the list goes on. But the big topic has been Shark fishing on St.pete beach. Well, as close to the beach as you can get. Setting up on anchor and chumming the heck out of the water has been the key. And the Sharks have been very aggressive this time of year in Tampa Bay as well.  Blacktip sharks, nurse sharks(pictuered above), bonnethead sharks, lemon sharks and more can be found along most of the beaches and Tampa Bay waters, especially St.Pete beach and John's Pass.

Getting on the water early is important this time of year. The summer heat not only affects the fish, but the fishermen as well. In the Tampa Bay area of Florida, the next couple of months are your best bet for catching many types of fish. If you’re looking for Tarpon, they’re still around and somewhat active. Remember, even Tarpon are being attacked by the aggressive sharks hunting the Gulf of Mexico shoreline. We are talking massive Hammerhead sharks! Come get ya some on the West Central Coast of Florida. Book a fishing charter with us today! Jaws is waiting for you....Capt.Dan
