Glory days in Tampa Bay

Good things happen to good people, and Kevin Higgins believes it. His winning attitude, I believe, helped bring some strange luck, and a few big fish on Thursday's fishing charter out of Pass-a-grille on St.Pete Beach. Check him out above, nice AJ Kev...I know your 'secret'.

Like I have said many times, “ charter fishing is like a box of chocolates, you never know what, or who, you are going to get”. As soon as Kevin and, good friend, Ben climbed on board, I knew we had a great trip in front of us, and after our usual stop to net some live baitfish we were off, looking for the big Kingfish.

I made a quick stop on a spot in less than 40 feet to slow troll a few fresh 'wigglers'. I was figuring that we might get some late-season Kingfish, Spanish mackerel, Bonito, Barracuda or...Amberjack?!!...That's right, the first 10 minutes into fishing, Ben boated his first offshore saltwater gamefish....a keeper size Jack. Good luck or...? The next pass over the number produced Kevin's fish, another nice AJ in the box, and we could still see the Don Ceasar resort on St.Pete Beach. Strange luck...or positive thinking? Well. I personally did the math. Good people+good attitudes=great fishing success. No other formula is needed.

Several big Spanish mackerel also made it to the ice box, and one acrobatic Barracuda made the show for some great memories. Bottom fishing, once again, produced a few big Gag Groupers(released) and several Grey snapper to add to the dinner menu. Amberjack, Spanish mackerel and snapper....sounds like a 'winning combination' for a great seafood feast. Yum!

First timers, professionals, young or old...we cater to you and your expectations. Just make sure to bring your good attitude for best results. Call Jawbreaker today. Happy fishing to Ya, Capt. Dan
