Big Gag Grouper on St Pete Beach

St.Pete Beach fishing is still in full effect and Neil Watson brought the luck he always does when he visits the good ole' USA. Our 4 hour fishing charter left Pass-a-Grille, St.Pete Beach at 7 am and had a plan to catch a few Spanish mackerel, anchor up and catch the toothy beast...Sharks!!. Well, everything went as planned except the mackerel bite was slow, the sharks were not biting...but at least the anchoring up part went well.

Have no fear folks, a little patience goes a long way, as well as a little chum, or allot. And then they came..the shallow water Gag groupers arrived like they had a ticket to catch a bus. Wham Bam thank you mam,,,and even after 5 or 6 severe break-offs, the boys from Newcastle landed several big keeper Gag Groupers just 1 mile off beautiful St.Pete Beach. Way to go boys.
