Big Barracudas rule the day

Well, the Kingfish evaded us on Saturday's fishing charter from St.Pete Beach...I think. We did have several, and I mean several big strikes that could have been that 40 pounder we are always looking for, but we will never know. The big one's that got away. At least the 'Cudas' were cooperative, check out Jaime with the big one that didn't get away! The Keeper of the lair!...a solid 30 pound Barracuda.
Working the offshore wrecks has been producing large numbers of large Gag Grouper also. These tasty critters, said to be overfished, are all over the place. My guess is that the closure is working. In October the Gag Grouper fishing should be better than we have ever seen it. I can't wait. Meanwhile, we will concentrate on live-bait sportfishing and keep at it until somebody says it's not fun....and that's not going to happen!
Call Jawbreaker fishing charters today or visit us on Facebook! Summer is here and so are all of the usual suspects...Sharks, Barracuda, Goliath Grouper and so much more, call today and get in on the action. Happy fishing to Ya, Capt.Dan
