Beautiful fish fishing in Tampa Bay

Here comes Summer, and with it comes a different game plan when it comes to fishing the Tampa Bay area and the Gulf of Mexico. The heat has many saltwater species seeking the comfort of cooler waters...but not all. Wednesday's 4-hour fishing trip had our crew tangled up in a myriad of different species that were willing to brave the afternoon temps.
Our fishing trip started out of Pass-a-Grille, on St.Pete Beach, and headed for the beautiful Gulf of Mexico, where we just happened to have some Grouper and Snapper there waiting for us. As I expected, the fish were chewing like there was no tomorrow. Big Grey snapper and Porgies were going into the fish box for the dinner-time fish fry, and the juvenile Red Grouper were being released as fast as our crew could catch them. It was very busy on the Jawbreaker for this particular fishing charter.
After fishing a few spots for the meat, we decided to troll after some of the Spanish mackerel that we had been watching swim under, and around the boat. Jon let the first tiny clarkspoon fly and bam!..instant gratification, in came the first Spanish mackerel of the Summer. The next piece of hardware deployed produced this nice Bonito...check out one of the newest Jawbreaker fanatics, Blake, with the “catch-of-the-day”. Tight work Blake...even though you were a bit winded after that tussle with the 'beautiful fish'-Bonito.
Great times once again folks! This is what it's all about. Enjoy the good things that we are offered in life ...but do it with a sense of knowing what is really important. Family, friends, charity, pride...fishing, whatever it is, you know what to do. Call Jawbreaker fishing charters and let us be your guide! We guarantee a great attitude...and even a few fish. Happy fishing, Capt.Dan
